These courses include basic science and engineering courses for all engineering students and major courses specific to Mechanical Engineering.

General Education Requirements
All University of Maryland students are required to complete general education requirements. The General Education Worksheet can help you track your progress of completing required General Education courses. While 40 credits of general education courses are required, some of these requirments will be met through the Mechanical Engineering curriculum. For more information see our curriculum.
