Don Robbins Honored by Graduate Students

The Graduate Student Government Association (GSGA) has honored Assistant Professor Donald Robbins, Jr., by awarding him their Outstanding Professor of a Graduate Course. All graduate faculty throughout the University were considered for this award.

Dr. Robbins' course, ENME 670: Continuum Mechanics, proved to be a very popular course in the Spring 2002 semester—26 students were enrolled in this course.

In the fall, Dr. Robbins taught ENME 673: Energy and Variational Methods in Applied Mechanics to 12 students. According to the GSGA, word got out about his exceptional teaching methods, and caused the jump in enrollment in the Spring offering.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers their heartiest congratulations to Dr. Robbins.
