We know that the needs are great and that we have the gumption and fortitude to veer off the beaten path even when what lies ahead is murky and the journey may be long.

Our Mission
Current and emerging societal needs call for mechanical and reliability engineers who combine basic and specialized competencies to find effective, flexible, and accessible solutions to real-world challenges. We meet this call by providing world-class engineering education of the highest quality and comprehensive scope to new and continuing learners.
The rapidly advancing cutting edge of science and technology calls for advances both within and outside the engineering disciplines. We meet this call by leading new fundamental discoveries, facilitating groundbreaking research at interdisciplinary interfaces, and furthering the translational application of knowledge gained through research for the public good.
This mission shall be guided by a commitment to continuous improvement in the overall quality of teaching, research, and service. It shall be based on close partnership with participants and entities across the spectrum of society, including industry, government, community organizations, professional associations, and other academic institutions in a spirit of collegial cooperation and mutual benefit.
MCAA at Maryland is a great organization with awesome opportunities for students to enhance their knowledge and expand their network within Mechanical Contracting.
