ME Assistant Professor Awarded KSEA Young Investigator Grant
Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering Jin-Oh Hahn won the Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA) Young Investigator Grant. Hahn received a $10,000 grant to help fund his research.
"I feel honored to be selected as a recipient of the award, especially because of the potential impact of my proposed research program on pervasive cardiovascular healthcare was very well received by the KSEA," Hahn said. He plans to use part of the $10,000 grant to support conference travel and career development for his graduate research.
Hahn has been an assistant professor with the department since 2012. Prior to arriving at the department, he worked at the University of Alberta for two years as an assistant professor.
KESA was founded in 1971 as a non-profit to promote science and technology, foster international cooperation particularly between the U.S. and Korea and help Korean-American scientists and engineers further their careers.
