BACKGROUND

Dr. Jiazhen Ling received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland in 2011. Following graduation, he was a Faculty Research Associate in CEEE until being promoted to Research Assistant Professor in 2015. Dr. Ling's dissertation focused on the study of separate sensible and latent cooling systems and the design of a radiative heat exchanger. He has published three journal papers and six conference papers during his Ph.D. study. He is a member of both ASHRAE and AEE and is an EPA certified Universal technician. Dr. Ling was a recipient of an ASHRAE scholarship and a GDF Suez Energy scholarship.
